I know this has been posted before, but lemme just say it again out of pure
excitement:

Today while practicing at the track someone pointed out that I still had the
carb restrictor in my engine.  I removed it, richened it up a whole bunch,
and all I can say is WOW.  All this time I was wondering why everyone else
had mad power and acceleration out of the corners, and a ballistic top
end.... now I know why.... and I now have it too :)

If you do this, dont forget to richen it up...especially the high speed jet.

So... as you said, you had been driving it "all this time" and yet... someone
ELSE had to point out to you that you were running a carb restrictor?
Sheesh... you never knew it?
Did you even bother to investigate, when you could clearly see that your car
wasn't performing as well as the other cars?
Do you need someone to tell you to wipe your face... when you're drooling down
your chin?
Some people amaze me.

You're a dick.  Plain and simple.

Kiss my a.s.  I raced electric and moved over to Nitro (this is my first
Nitro).  If you can point out a single place in the manual for the engine or
the NTC3 where it says the word "restrictor" then you can be
right...otherwise you're just talking sh.t after the fact, and you're not
helping anyone by doing it. Grow up.  If you said that to my face you'd be
the one drooling while you were laying on the asphalt.

Hmmm... rather NOT, but thanks for the offer.

Shoulda stuck with electric... clearly, nitro is way over your head.

Well, genius... I looked, and you are right... the manual calls it a
"Carburator Insert". AND after looking at the manual... I was shocked to see
where that "Insert" takes up over half of the carb intake, it is white plastic,
GLARINGLY obvious... and for someone NOT to see it in there... still amazes me.

If anyone is interested, go to:

http://rc10.com/shusting/CatalogHub/engine/AE15_engman.pdf

(Page 1, step 2, "how to set the carburator, and start the engine")

The photos there (Ahem, in the manual)
show the "Carb Insert".
When I saw the photos, I had to laugh. As I said... GLARINGLY obvious, even to
the casual observer.

Whoa, lighten-up, tough guy.
Guess I was wrong... you can't take a joke.
