Call Great Planes and ask them.

Well, they keep making new models, and their prototype Evolva 2003
appears to be a big winner. I doubt they would spend so much money on
R&D for new products if they were in financial trouble.

actually R&D is exactly what you want to do in financial trouble.  A hot new
product can pull you out of the hole.

I think the mini z and the MP-xx are thier bread & butter. pretty much all thier other
stuff is substandard and really ony gets sold to newbies who find Tower online and dont
think to ask for opinions first.
I lurk in the .air group alot recently, and though kyosho makes dozens of planes, i never
hear anyone talk about them.

I tend to view them as "Just another RC company".

My current favs are AE, Duratrax, and grudgingly Losi.

they must be doing well because as high as those prices are on
tower...geesh!

i actually like some of there stuff like radios, and there 1/10 nitro cars
but they price themselves right out of consideration when it comes to me
shopping. if they are high cause they need to ship all that stuff from japan
or where ever then they need to open a plant here in the states. even the
mini z is a bit over priced to me.
