The Losi Mini-T hits the shelves this week.    $149.99
One of the LHS's in the area has 'em. It's a long drive for me, but I think I
may take a run out there soon, and pick one up.
They promised to save me a silver one.
Research I've done sugests that they run MUCH faster with a 6-cell batt pack
that is made for the HPI Micro. So I will need to pick up a couple of those
too. When I get out there, I will find out if my charger will work with those
packs, but I don't think it will.
Sooo, add a couple batt packs, and a new charger to the mix, and my bottom line
is getting close to $300... ouch.
Many new hop-ups are also scheduled to ship soon. The most important of course
will be oil-filled shocks.

Go here to see some video of them running.

I think tires would be more important than shocks.

Actually, the stock tires look to be pretty good.
Those *friction* shocks are reported to be terrible... can you say BOING?
If you watch the video (the link I sent) you can see those tires grippin'
pretty good, but watch as those little trucks hit a couple of bumps...  they're
all over the track.
So... oil-filled shocks, better battery power, and perhaps a hotter motor
would be the first things I'd get for mine.
If you go here....
http://www.hobby-warehouse.com/losiminitparts.html
you can see a huge list of replacement parts that are already available.
Oil-filled shocks, and Hotter motors are already in development.

Also pick up a Norvel .61 engine.
Lets see which one of us gets the Nitro Conversion finished first!

Figured that- wasn't a dig or flame.....
would like to hear how it turns out.  There are some TINY servos that could
be used for throttle.

Yep we think alike.....
Well Mike, at $43.99 that Norvel .061 sounds tempting. Cheaper than a battery
pack and charger.
Now the real trick would be... to find room for it (and a throttle servo) in
the Mini-T.

Anyone interested can check 'em out at:

Great minds think alike!  I have a Norvel .061 Vmax with the large heat
sink head (From a Lite Machines helicoptor) waiting for installation in
a mini-T.  The GWS Pico or Hitec HS 55 should make fine throttle servos,
just need to figure out what to do for a brake.  If I ever find time,
this conversion is something I'm very interested in doing.

I actually wrote to Losi asking if they had plans for a nitro version,
or had made a prototype.  They had not, but seemed to like the idea.

Now, I just need to get my hands on a mini-T.
