I and in the process of tearing down my Maxx for repairs and maintenance.
My questions are
1 What type of lube do I use on the driveshafts?
2 While all apart should I change to aluminum diffs?
3 What type of grease do I use in the diff?
Thanks Anthony

If you are running the plastic sliders, they don't need any lube. Look them
over and see if there is any twisting in them, if there is, replace them.
Also look at the drive cups where the u-joint pins go though. They get
oblonged out after some time running. If they look bad replace them. The
drive cups and shafts are cheap and replacing them now will save some grief
later. As for diffs, I just took my stock diffs apart( they are getting
sloppy) and am going to rebuild them with stock parts. They have lasted for
3 years without any breakdowns. And that is running a 21 in it after it was
two weeks old. As for grease, in stock diffs, use a good high temp wheel
bearing grease. Hope this helps.

None.  Replace them if they wear or twist.

If you can, then go ahead.  The tolerences on aluminum diff housings is much
better than stock.  Otherwise don't worry about it.

Bear in mind that excess grease will come out through the bearings,
automotive bearing grease will work.  Hobby grade ball diff grease works,
also.  Whatever you have on hand.

I leave mine dry.

You can, but I'd expect more frequent diff failures.

Diff grease.  :-)

You should be able to get diff grease at your LHS.
