Picked my red Mini-T up from the LHS.

What a great truck!

For 150.00 (US), it's a great RC vehicle. For someone who might be a
first time "real RC truck" buyer this would be a great gift.

If your first run is using plain alkaline AA's you might be
disappointed. It runs slow and sorta flat on just alkalines.

I didn't order the 7.2 volt battery pack yet, but I did get to the local
Walgreen's drug store and purchased 4 of the new Rayovac 15 minute
2000mah AA NIMH cells. WOW! huge difference. I won't use alkalines again.

The truck can pull wheelies on carpet from a standstill.

My next purchase is the Team Orion and the Venom racing 7.2 volt battery
packs, that are prewired with the Micro connector, and also a set of
bearings, and a new clear body that I will paint myself.

Glad to hear you got yourself one.
Do they have any more in stock?
If so... will they do a mail order?
My locals are out of stock, with no indication when another shipment may
arrive.

Yes, this is what others are reporting.
The AA NIMH's are the quick-fix, but I understand that the 7.2v packs make 'em
really GO.

There are also some motors out there that will "drop-in" without modding the
motor plate... supposed to really help performance.
What size bearings will replace the bushings?
Some new owners are complaining about steering servo failure... very early on.
This concerns me.
Let us know how yours holds up, after you get some runs on her.
A pretty good forum is now running that is dedicated to these little trucks.

NO, AFAIK they too are waiting for more.

The LHS knew which motor just drops in. I had them order it so I'm not
sure which one it is.

Yeah, It's cool that Losi has someone there to answer questions on this new
product.
Anyway, I just bought a Mini T for myself this morning. (Got it on Ebay) should
be here sometime this comming week. Wooo-Hooo !
Merry Christmas Dan.
I also pre-ordered some oil-filled shocks,
(Losi factory) $26.00.
I already ordered some ball bearings for the wheels, and am gonna get a few
7.2v NIMH batt packs.
Could you recommend for a good charger for those packs?

Anything with NIMH capabilities that will switch from .5A to about 1A
will work. You might want a charger with "dialable" amp settings like
the Intellipeak. the superBrain is good too.
