I feel bad...FedEx just came, I saw Tower Hobbies on the box and
didn't even bother to look at the name.  I assumed it was the slot car
parts I'd ordered.

Opened it up and saw a Traxxas Stampede.
Taped it back up, but she'll probably bust me.

hobbies and the likes/dislikes you have ?

LOL!  Not hints.  I email her direct links to the items.
I send her enough stuff so that I wouldn't know which things she'll
get and which things she won't.

So I might have been surprised if I hadn't screwed it up.

Well, my wife doesn't order anything RC, so she told me to purchase the new
Associated Monster GT and not to open the box.

D'oh!

I think I'm gonna buy myself a Stampede this xmas if I get a bit of
extra $$$ laying around.

You'll probably want to either slap on a kimbrough servo saver on the
Pede (large ss, IIRC) or put in the 2055 hi-torq or a metal geared
servo:  the stock direct-steer mechanism is pretty rough on the servo
gears.

At the very least get a few extra sets of 2010 servo gear sets.  :-P

And after xmas tell your wife how cool we think she is.

I'm pretty excited.  I have a huge circular driveway, a big muddy
garden, some mulch piles left over from last year, and my backyard
shares the lotline with a cornfield.

I hope the snow holds out until after Christmas....i don't want to
wait 4 months!
