How do I know when...

....When the capacitors on the motor are in need of replacing?
The brushes are just now worn through the cerations.
Only about 5 or 6 packs through the buggy, bashing, not racing.
Motor is a Chameleon 19 turn.
The brushes are sparking a lot all of a sudden.

What do you think?

I'd think the Chameleon 2 is such a new motor that unless you were
putting it through really extreme heat conditions that it probably
doesn't need new capacitors. If the capacitors were bad, or if there
weren't any installed, you'd have radio glitching.

So can I assume that the caps are more for RF noise reduction
than for spark suppression?

UPDATE!
I just cut the comm, even though it looked fine.
Now it runs smooth, no sparks.
Looks like the caps are fine,
thanks guys.

That's my understanding.
