Turbo Burns - Putting in new OS RG Engine

I have an old Kyosho Turbo Burns that I blew an engine on.  The original
engine was an OS .21 EX.

I bought an OS .21 RG as a replacement.  I am having 2 problems.

1 - The new carb has a ball link.  The old carb has something else.  I need
to know where I can get a throttle linkage kit to work with the ball link.

2 - The bigger problem is the the body of the new engine is about 3-4 mm
longer than the old engine.  I need to knwo where I can get a engine mount
kit that will work with the new engine.

Most r/c car chassis that I know of have slots for the engine mounting bolts
to allow for adjustment for best mesh etc with the main drive gears, I even
did this on a home made custom chassis for my nephews car recently and it
works fine.

As for the Ball link for the the throttle, standard plastic ball link
adaptors are readily availble from any hobby store, you might need to change
the throttle push rod to fit it but they do come ready threaded, just screw
the ball link adaptor onto the end and pop it onto the ball on the
throttle....This is a very cheap and reliable set up and again is another
mod I did recently on my nephews car.

Thanx for your reply.

I should have mentioned that the new engine did not fit on the old
mount.  I had to drill and tap a new hole because the mounting holes
on the RG were much futher apart than on the EX.  The engine is
sitting as far back on the mounts as possible.

I was hoping there would be some mounts that I could just buy that
worked because I feared that enlongating the holes in the chasis to
move it back a bit would not allow for a sturdy mount of the engine.
The existing hole in the chasis are threaded - if I enlongate the
holes this won't be the case anymore.

The other option I was considering wa enlongating the holes on the two
flat plates that sit between the mounts and the chasis.  If I can
slide this back I would be golden.  My biggest concern here was that
the existing hole in that is not far enoungh from the edge where I
could enlongate it enough.

Anyway, I wanted to make sure there were no parts available before I
go hacking.  I emailed Kyosho about this but have not gotten a
response in 7 days.

For the first problem try using the mp6 or mp7.5 linkage. And for the
second one go to http://www.osengines.com/manuals/21rg-manual.pdf page

Re my last post, just to clarify things a bit, If your engine fits ok on the
old mount then keep that as it is,
It is the engine bolt holes on the chassis itself that I was referring to re
making them into slots, providing you have enough metal around the holes
that is. (ie they are not too close to the edge of the Chassis)

Most I/C Engined cars come with the bolt holes on the chassis made as slots
to allow for adjustment as stated.
