hello.
I was wondering if someone can help me on this.
i used to own a super shot (I think 1987), which was my birthday gift when I
was a child...I guess I want to live the monent again. I tried ebay but no
listing, so I checked around google, and there were few sites selling parts,
but not a whole kit. i guess it's kind of foolish to think I could buy it
just because I have money, since it's off the production line for awhile.
but I am sure there are some kits out there floating in market.
since I am new to this treasure hunt, I would like to ask what's the best
way to get vintage cars like this?
and how much is going rate for something like this?
thank for any help in advance

there are always loads of vintage tamiya on ebay, you just have to wait
untill they have the one you want.
There was a mint hotshot, car only, went for £72 on the uk site, so prices
for them can get a bit high.

> The only place I found for old Tamiya stuff is on Ebay. I have a Sand
Scorcher which I bought back in the 80s, needed a few items which I got off
Ebay. You may be lucky and get the kit you want but I think you will need
deep pockets to pay for it. Some items they have on there are excessively
priced and not worth getting. Have a look at this site

in 78/79...it was the Holiday Buggy, I built it for him, first electric car,
but I was still Impressed at how it went, I had a Mardave Car with a Veco
.19 engine fitted at the time.

Supershots are available often on ebay....not as much as the hotshot, but still, ya wont
have to wait long.
BTW, just about a year ago i restored my first car (hotshot - 1986) with new parts from
ebay.
I had also bought a basketcase for parts. I ended up restoring both of them to total
Shelf-Princess status, and i couldnt be happier.
Good luck, mike.

I'd do an eBay search on it and save the resulting URL. Then look at
that URL every day until you find the item.
It's taken me 6mos to find some particularly rare things.
