I remember doing some repair work for the LHS owner (he gets swamped around christmas and
farms out the repair jobs)
I did a few HPI cars with the little FE engines and stock exhausts. They are remarkably
quieter than most. Not the most powerful cars ive seen, but really user friendly and easy
to start/tune.

Go for a .12 with a stock tuned pipe. You can also try an exhaust deflector
or an expanded long exaust tube from the tuned pipe.
