Where is the best place to get an Avalanche?  Can these prices be beaten:

Most likely one of the smaller two.  Are these appropriate for a 6 year-old?

Thanks.

Mot sure about the Avalanche but I own a Nikko Buggy "La Nera" in
scale 1:14 and this is fun even for a big kid. The charger and battery
(6Volt) solve the power problem and allow around 10-20 minute runtime.

I would not recommend the Avalanche in 1:20 due to the AA batteries.
Not saying they are bad, just the charger is more convenient in my
opinion.

best regards

I run NiMH AA batts in the Mini-T and other models, and they do just
fine.  Much more throughput than alkalines, in my informal cube farm
testing.

Agreed.
I had much better results with the Nimh AA's over the alkalines.
However...
Install a Trinity, Kan, Dynamite, Venom (I'm sure there are others) 1100-1200
Mah 7.2v 6-cell pack in your Mini-T, and you will really see it come to life.
A well charged 7.2v or 8.4v pack will blow away even the best Nimh AA's.
