They should be similar on top speed, but the buggy may have an advantage on
acceleration. The buggy is lighter and lower than the MT, so it doesn't
need a lower gear to get good acceleration. The buggy will also outcorner
the MT. The MT will be bigger and cover more rough terrain, however.

the buggy will definitely out run the monster truck for the most part
but the monster truck will go over some rougher terrain and handl
taller grass. if you want to race at all, go with the buggy i say. bu
if your really new to this, then maybe opt for a good stadium truck. i
won't handle thick grass situations as well, but usually cost less t
repair, buy, requires less agressive servos for good handling, muc
easier to repair if you get a 2wd, and will still fill your need fo
excitement. the stadium truck will be easier to handle, seeing the
have a tendency to slide pretty easy without flipping over. you can ge
something like a rustler for about 300$, and will blow away a vas
majority of the monster trucks and buggies in drag race, if it can ge
good traction. and spite of what people say, traxxas is very good i
reliability. i've got a rustler, and it gives far less trouble than an
thing else i've ever owned. and yes i've got some pretty tough 1/
buggies. and no, none of them can beat the rustler in a drag race. eve
with the os vz
