PROOF Positive, that some folks should not be allowed to breed.
I laughed my A$$ off watching, thanks for posting.
Had they attached the tow-strap to something a little more solid, at the other
(rear) corner, they would have been ok.
I feel sorry for the poor parent that's gonna have to pick up the tab for the
idiots.
Assuming they are insured......
With today's insurance rates,  $500. to  $1000. deductibles are pretty common,
to keep monthly payments down.
(I'm guessing here, but I would put the damage at around $2000 or more.)

If I owned an insurance company, I would have an "Idiot-Clause" in every
contract, so as not to be liable for such incidents.

Not necessarily, A guy I worked with had a Storm, and when it got stuck in the
snow they pulled it out by the "towhook" (if you could call it that) in the
back.  It only pulled the bumper halfway off when they got it out.  A little
duct tape and some bailing wire and he kept driving it.  So basically, if you
see a storm stuck, call a towtruck and don't pull it out yourself.

What a bunch of idiots.

Anyone who's done any off-tarmac driving knows the first rule of
recovery:

NEVER use a tow strap with hooks! If the strap or hardpoint gives,
you've got a deadly missle.

Also- he went the entirely wrong direction- or should have at least
dug the snow out from behind the vehicle.
