do a google search for op117.wmv, you are sure to find an active link
somewhere.  I didn't realize it at first but they are using pieces of PVC
pipe for tires for a really cool drifting effect.

I have considered slip fitting some PVC pipes to my tires on my truck, but
it is only 2wd and probably won't handle nearly the same as the 4wd cars in
the vid.  MUST HAVE 4WD CAR!

The PVC tires give up too much traction and control.  Hard rubber (pack
them)  or spike knobbies will give nice drift with less wall contact.
Two-wheel-drive is okay if the front is tweaked to be as loose as the rear.

Here's to go'in sideways....

Dunno, but drifting is about the most fun I can have with both model
and fullsize cars.

Absolutely, it is loads of fun especially in a full size car.  It doesn't
get much better than successfully drifting around a really tight corner and
rocketing out of the the turn.  I admit, the PVC tire drifting is just a
novelty but controlled drifting with performance in mind is awesome.

Wow! Impressive... It looks like they've made themselves some replica's of
the D1 Grand Prix cars (you know, the drifting competition in Japan)

Anyone here that has a clue on how to attach the PVC piping on the rims? I
think I saw a rubber ring between the rim & PVC somewhere in the vid. I'd
like to try it out myself on my HPI Sprint, but I'm not sure if I can attach
the piping to the rim properly, so it stays in place...

Thanx in advance!
