I have got a patriot reverse speed controller which I have fitted to my
cat3000.

But if I fit the cooling fins on the speed controller as the instructions
say my body shell does not fit properly.

Can anyone tell me if my car will work ok without these fins on the speed
controller?

Thanks

I'd consider making a cutout in my body for the fins.
