Hi People,

I'm after a quick "Failsafes 101". Im interested in fitting one to my Kyosho
Inferno and know absolutely nothing about them.

Where do they go? How bulky are they? Do you need one specific for your
particular radio? Or for a particular frequency? Do they require extra
receiver battery power?

Grateful for any pointers!

They connect between the throttle servo and the radio reciever. You can put
them anywhere on the vehicle that you want, as long as the wires reach.

>How bulky are they?
Size depends on the particular failsafe. The OFNA Micro Failsafe
(http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEYG2&P=7) isn't much
bigger then a large pill.

It has to have the same servo connectors as your reciever uses, or you could
modify the connectors to work, or take the connectors off and replace them
with compatible ones (Buy an extension cable to get the connectors)

>Or for a particular frequency?
No.

Anything you plug into the radio is going to use power. They most likely
don't use much, but that will depend on the unit as well. They also usually
activate if your batteries get weak enough to be close to a dangerous level,
so don't worry about it too much.
