Well then stick to the lexan body, it is flexible so it absorbs impacts
rather than cracking itself or breaking the body mounts off the chassis.
Exactly the same reason why cars have crumple zones these days... they
deform and absorb impact energy not just for weight reduction.
You should be able to scratch build or retrofit one from a scale model, just
don't run with it on the truck.until you can keep the truck on its wheels
for at least one tank of fuel or you'll wreck it quickly.

Thanks for the input Chris. I think I'll start looking for something to try
when my skill level gets high enough to not ruin it right away.
I've been looking at Tamiya cars aand trucks that seem to have pretty
much what I'm looking for. If I can find a good outlet for parts, I might go
that way.
