ESCs are for electric motors.  You don't need either one for a Savage or a
T-Maxx

If you are going Nitro...I think the Maxx is a better buy..It is
faster...has better support and tons of Hop ups. It is the one that started
the Monster craze. The savage is a little more durable but the Maxx can
drive circles around it

I don't agree with this... i have both a Savage and and a Maxx and the Savy
simply blows the Maxx away!

Oops sorry.  8)  I'd go for the T-Maxx because the Savage has an exposed gas
tank that gets broken easily.  Plus the T-Maxx will be able to use many of
the Revo upgrades like the sealed diffs and upgraded universal shafts.

I haven't seen any official word from Traxxas that says that.

Looks like the tire/wheel combo and cooling head are about the only
backward-compatible items that I know of.

I don't jknow all of the componants but I think they said there is only 8
that are interchangable. Wheels tires, head, motor. pipe, tank, I don't
remember what else.

The pipe/tank won't fit on T-Maxx.

Well Ive done it the T-Maxx got it. Full RTR box (just need fuel and
batteries) with full uk warranty £339 inc vat and delivery £100 quid
cheaper than a Savage 25 give or take ;-)

I`ll let ypou know how it goes.

thanks for the replys and hope of Revo upgrades ;-)

Thats $.800.00 very badly spent! It would have worked out cheaper if
you flew London - New York - Bought the car there, and then flew back.
It would have cost $339 for the T-Maxx, and around $200 for your air
ticket ....

Other options include using towerhobbies. They ship anywhere. I had my
t-maxx shipped for $.400, half your price! In your case you may have
paid 50% duties which might have brought the price up to around $.600,
still $.200 cheaper!

Its amazing how the prices of these cars are inflated by
non-manufacturing nations!

Um im a bit confused... $600 equates to £335.11p. My maxx took just 22hrs to
arrive with a full UK warranty and cost £339 inc delivery thats £3.89
difference why the hell would I buy stateside to save £3.89p?

A confused Col.

Had you not paid the duty, u would have only paid $.400.00. Which
there are many ways of doing.

After this weekend howvere, I respect your concern on having the
warranty. I broke my conrod (Only on my 8th Tank of fuel) and the
replacement would probably been done under warranty had i bought the
car locally. It will only cost $.30 to replace the conrod, but what
about the next brakage ...

I still would have only saved around £100 which dont get me wrong is a
BIG pile of cash BUT the potential for something to go horribly wrong
is just to much for me to justify it. Now hopups from the US Ebay
site,thats a whole different ball game ;-)

thanks for the reply.
