Did get there by truck like the one above?

>Did get there by truck like the one above?
Nope. It was towed across the Atlantic from Turkey to New
Orleans, towed up the Mississippi, and then moved by barge up the
Arkansas River to N. Little Rock.

A river would make it easy even in the heart of the Amazonic jungle :-)
Do you know about any river in Milan?
The Toti has been towed from Taranto to the Po river mouth in the
Adriatic Sea and in the river until Piacenza, 120 KM off Milan.
*Then* began the road trip on powered trolleys, then it crossed the town
center and finally it was posed in the museum, right downtown
(http://www.museoscienza.org/toti/diario_9.asp?pag=9)
Not exactly the same effort.

Nope. Did you know that N. Little Rock is a *lot* further than
100 km from the sea? ;)

Yes, I did: North Little Rock, 34°45'08.11"N, 92°16'09.93"W
You must cross Mississippi or Louisiana to reach the closest sea.
;)

That must be why the USS Razorback was towed to New Orleans... ;)

I need to check the map more often. Somehow I thought there was some
watercourse in Milan.

Check out the Oberon boat "Otway" in Holbrook Australia. About 400K inland.
A couple of years ago they had to open it up to salvage some parts to keep
the last Oberon in service...

It's just the outer skin to the waterline, although an impressive sight.

Yes, it's not the full hull but there was enough for the RAN to go
scavenging for steering parts some years back.
