I'm kit-bashing to build a very early Sherman and I need tracks with
no raised chevrons. I have some old Italeri rubber band tracks, but I
hate those things and was hoping to find something better, such as
individual link tracks. Does anyone sell these as a separate item, or
does someone here have an extra set they'd sell to me?

I think AFV, or was it AFC, has a set without the chevrons. I have a set,
but it's not for sale.

Google RHPS tracks.

You need T51 Track and are in luck; these seem to be the most popular tracks
for aftermarket. All are workable. I'd suggest, in this order:
AFV Club 35029 in black styrene
http://www.squadron.com/SearchResults.asp?ScaleList=35&TypeList=everything&ManuL
ist=everything&Key=T51&Submit=Go
http://www.greatmodels.com/
Modelkasten MDKSK-55 in styrene
http://www.hlj.com/product/MDKSK-55
Friulmodel ATL-47 in white metal

If you decide to stick with the Italeri tracks, put them in very warm water
for a minute and then wrap them around the wheels. Much easier and they tend
to retain their new shape.

I concur on the RHPS tracks -- they snap together (push, actually) and
look very nice when painted up.
For future reference (especially when dealing with Shermanaholics, who
are fanatics about these things!) the types most commonly used (and all
available from RHPS) are:
T48 -- rubber chevron with big V cleat
T49 -- three-bar steel track
T51 -- "irreversible" (e.g. one side is thicker than the other, but
it's hard to see) smooth rubber block
T54E1 -- US pattern steel chevron (sharp cleat angles)
British pattern -- steel chevron (smooth cleat angles)
WE210 -- British "Double I" pattern
