One more modeling related Disney post.

If you have not been to Disneyland for a few years you may not be aware
that the Submarine Lagoon has been vacant for years.

Just a few weeks ago guests began to see increasingly obvious activity
in the lagoon. A couple of weeks ago word got out that the subs are on
their way back. If the comments from the execs and Imagineers are to be
taken at face value the new subs are to be "20,000 Leagues Under the
Sea" Nautilus subs as seen in Disneyworld. They may also be adding a
walk-through feature for disabled guests and anyone who can't or won't
ride the subs.

A new Nautilus model is in the current Disney catalog. Limited edition
of 3500, 31" long, some interior detail, cast resin with cast metal
detail, hand painted $499.

Word from my Disney-worshipping wife and nephew is that will be a Finding
Nemo-based sub ride again, but seriously updated.

There is a great new Finding Nemo attracton in California Adventure.
The kids sit on the floor, everybody else comfortably in theatre seats.
The turtle comes onto the "screen" and chats with the kids from what
appears to be a large tank with a waterproof microphone.

Does your wife belong to a Disneyana chapter? Kind of lke IPMS but a
little bit crazier :-)
