Is this a new kit?  Just looking for reviews and trying to decide if I
really want to deal
with all those wheels.....

this thing works out to about a 20" span and 19" length

Craig,

It is indeed a new kit! It gives you 5 posing options.

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to speed around a city,
keeping its speed over fifty, and if its speed dropped, it would
explode!  I think it was called `The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down.'

out of the 3 heavy lifters, the Antonov, the C-5 and the C-17, which
has more historical value....I mean when will we be getting a C-5 and a
C-17 in a similar scale....???

Revell was the last, I think. Otaki, Entex & Nitto, IIRC otherwise. All
the same kit. Entex or one of them made the proposed L-500 civilian
version. Best bet's eBay.

The C-5 and C-17 have been around longer, but the An-124 is the
largest/heaviest airplane in use today (discounting the one-off An-225).

Are you sure the C-17's been around longer than the An-124?

It's a really nice looking model. Saw it at the Revell booth at Telford (UK
Nats) a couple of weeks back. It's big and very well detailed. The display
model had both ends opened up. Very nice work but it's going to take a lot
of shelf space.
