Thinking of placing an order with eHobbies (www.ehobbies.com).  Anyone
have any experience with these folks?  Good?  Bad?

Thanks,

Martin

I ordered two sale kits from them, and they confirmed the order. When the
parcel finally arrived it contained just one kit, the other was out of
stock. The postage for the one brought the total to about the same as retail
at my local shop so the whole exercise was a waste.  Then they never
responded to my e-mail.

Not the end of the world, nor can I say I'll never go back, but only as a
last resort.

Go to:

http://groups.google.com/advanced_search

in the blank next to:  with the exact phrase

type "ehobbies.com"

and in the blank next to:  Return only messages from the group at this
location

type "rec.models.scale"

Also, go to:  http://www.bizrate.com/ratings_guide/guide.html

and in the blank next to:   I'm shopping for

type "ehobbies.com"

The results are mixed.

I've ordered twice. Second time my order was not shipped for a week but
they upgraded to 2nd day air. I'd use them again. Try hobbylinc.com as
well.  Every dealer has different stock.

I received a kit damaged (shipping box damage), contacted eHobbies,
and it was replaced promptly. The replacement kit also arrived damaged
(again shipping box damage), contacted eHobbies, and again it was
replaced promptly.
