Since RC/Ertl bought them out awhile back they kind of killed off the
division. Anything coming out new probably won't be in PL boxings.
It's amazing what screw-ups these RC people are. JMHO.

Not screw-ups, corporate raiders. They buy companies to get one part or
line and trash the rest. In Playing Mantis' case, RC bought it all to
get the Johnny Lightning line (IMHO). They are trashing Polar Lights.

Polar Lights, along with Johnny Lightning Diecasts, were bought up with
Playing Mantis, their manufacturer, in June 2004 by RC2 Brands, and was
positioned in with AMT/Ertl model kits--no word, but it appears that
AMT/Ertl has little interest in reissuing the old PL tools, or adding any
new ones.

And their literature is in 2 languages also, could it be....global
compitition?.I just picked up the Enterprise NX from the Scott Backula
version & it's a distraction with the assembly instructions in
whatever other important language the seem to need.I've noticed too,
that all the Revell car kits are going for $10.99.On Sun, 22 Jan 2006
