Do a google search for the movie Fly Boys, currently being filmed. This is
the story of the Lafayette Escadrille, and I have seen photos on the net of
the replica Nieuport 17's being used, they look quite realistic. I believe
it will be released sometime this year.
Another must have for any WW1 fan is the 4 VHS tape set " Four Years of
Thunder". While not a movie, this is a documentary ade by the History
Channel and has actual movie footage from 1914-1918, very interesting for
any WW1 modeler and is now out on DVD. The VHS ones may still be available
at clearance price.

Didn't they use Nieport 17's at Pearl Harbor, or was that at the Battle
of Britain? (smirking)
This is the first I'd heard of this movie, and I think it's great.
Thanks for sharing. When I first saw the subject line, I thought it was
based on the Bradley book; thank god it's not that!

FWIW There were some stills from this in one of the recent issues of
Windsock magazine, including a lineup of Nieuports on the cover.

According to a aviation magazine the movie is done filming and is currently
looking for a distributor for the US release. According to the article they
already have distributor for the film in Europe.
