I've got a Classic Metal Works tractor/trailer set which I'd like to strip
the paint and lettering.  Does anyone have advice on working with these
specific models?

The tractor is die cast metal-- if possible I'd like to remove the lettering
and keep the red paint and silver details.  The trailer is plastic and I'd
like to strip the entire paint job.

If no one has specific advice with these models I guess I'll try traditional
methods, starting with a bath in alcohol and moving up to brake fluid or oven
cleaner if that doesn't work.

Any tricks on removing the wheels and axles that you'd like to share before I
go ahead and botch that up, too?

I don't see any mention of Classic Metal Works models in that reference.
