I found a book at Barnes and Noble that had lots of interesting single
profile of submarines from all eras. Vessels you know will never be
kitted in model form. I am wondering if there are more significant
sources with four view of various submarines?

Sincerely,

Big Al

Yep and it's not too far from you Al, NARA in College Park. Be
forewarned, if the word "nuke" was ever associated with it or it was a
"special" sub (even if diesel electric) the plans are classififed.
