I need a color for a good SoCal tan, say for a strawberry blonde bimbette that spends all her days basking in the sunshine. She wasn't from SoCal but there was a woman hereabouts who whilst fair all winter turned the shade of old leather by late summer. For the hair I'd start with a pale yellow and add some terra cotta colour. Mix to taste. They have about a bazillion colors, and many of them fall into the "flesh-ish" range. Many other "yellow-ish" colors as well. Check them out, and figure out which one caters to your suntan and strawberry blonde needs. Remember, though, that the actual color is not *that* important, since after all of the shading and highlighting, very little of the original color will be left.
