great nova program about the yamato's tech.
lots of good underwater shots. a little weak on the
melodrama, the story is strong enough without it.
a must see for the buffs.
that wreck is a wreck....that ship was damaged far beyond
the bismark.
what was it, 20 bombs, 18 torpedos?

actually, research on the hull showed 3 magazine explosions.
apparently the capasize and increased pressure caused
spontaneous ignition. you already know she's in two big
chnks, right?
what was funny was watching one of the mirs in a turret
tunnel. it was almost lost in that huge whole; it looked
like a toy.
that was one amazing ship, still futuristic looking in the
secondary turrets. what were there, 3000 guys entombed?
many were sealed in alive by other crewman desperately
trying to save the ship. and the japanese had all those
stories of the men commiting hari kari to cheat the
reaper....uh, sure they did.
