I remember reading in "Scale Modeler" that Sears had them in their catalogue even though they were long gone from their stores. I ran out and ordered one. That should say how long ago that was. I haven't used mine in a while. I think I made up a bunch of sheets with just the one base that appeared corrugated. I intended to use it as sheathing on HO buildings. And eBay seems to have at least few of those listed at any given time. Nothing rare or expensive. What makes one rare is if it has all the original packaging and plastic sheets. Those original sheets usually fetch premium price. So, this auction doesn't seem too out of the ordinary. Toy collectors like them in good condition - modelers couldn't care less...
