Hi there
I was under the impression the AMT 39 Ford Tudor was a new kit.
It seems really, well, primitive, if it is: metal axles, faint, low-def
detailing, especially on the interior tub.
If you compare it to the 41 Woody kit, it seems almost like a
pantographed up 1/32nd kit.
Or am I just revelling in my ignorance, as I have little experience
with 1/25th scale car kits.
I'm converting it into a 1940 O1A four-door sedan as issued to the 10th
Indian Division in North Africa.

That's got to be a re-issue of a kit from about 1959,IIRC.

That sounds about right -- IIRC it was an "update" backdate of their
1940 Ford from the late 1950s and came with the "Tudor" sedan body
rather than the coupe body in the '40 kit.
Amazing they still have the molds!

It's an oldie. I built my first one back in 1961. It was my first car
kit.
I built another one in the '70s and have a newer one to do now. BTW,
you can't make an accurate '39 with it but it cosmetically looks like
one. The wipers need to be over the windshield and the dash inside is
different. ISTR somebody making correct resin replacements.
