Question re R/M 1967 Corevette Coupe & Roadster Kits

Can the engine and interior parts from the Revell/Monogram 1967
Corvette roadster be used for the Revell/Monogram 1967 Corvette coupe?
Are the parts identical?

The reason I ask is that I bought the '67 Corvette coupe on eBay only
to find that many of the interior/engine parts had been assembled in a
poor manner. The R/M Corvette coupe is not in production, but the
roadster version is. If the parts are the same, then I can salvage the
coupe kit.

Thanks,
Jeff

Should work, no problem. Unless it's a completely new tooling (which I doubt) R-M, along with others used the same parts, just
tooled for a different body.
Case in point, many 2dr kits had convertible interiors in them, I know from experience with them.

did you try to disassemble? stick the stuff in the freezer
for a couple of days and it may come apart easily. perhaps
you can recycle.

The 1967 convertible parts should fit the coupe kit no problem, I have both
but currently am unable to look at them.  Check the interior bucket, I'm not
sure if the area behind the seat is the same for both kits, but probably is.
The 427 tri-power engine comes in the convertible, and can be used in the
coupe as well.  Not sure if the coupe came with the single carb & round
aircleaner, but either engine is correct depending on the options ordered.
Same with the side pipes vs. exhausts, and aluminum wheels vs. rally wheels,
you can use either and it would be correct for different options available
from the factory in 1967.  If I remember correctly the coupe has the
mufflers/exhaust pipes, rally wheels and single carb, the wheels, side
exhaust and tripower intake/airclener can be added to the coupe and still be
accurate.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
