This is a request on behalf of a friend but are the Federal Standard
Colors Fan Decks still available? I am in Australia so it would a mail
order job,
My copy of the IPMS Color Cross - reference Guide ( Has the Desert
Storm update) is most likely a bit out date. Lots of new paints on the
market since it was published. anyone aware if there has been anything more
recent published?

I bought mine. Glad I got both the deck and the binder book when I
did...I can remember when the fan deck was only $5-6. Not that I paid
that by the time I got around to getting a couple.

No kidding. I remember free. A long time ago I used to work for
Boeing. As a government contractor, we could request any Mil-spec
document at no charge. I use to order a copy of FS 595 from the GPO
every few months and pass them on to guys in the model club.

I updated mine a few years back when both Disney Imagineering and ILM
asked me to find them during the same month. This was during work on
Pearl Harbor. Maybe that's why the colors, if nothing else, were pretty
accurate.:-)

Many thanks , will pass this info on, I have a fan deck myself which is a
595a , I notice it is now a 595b. Is there a big difference between the a
and b colors?
