I'm building the 1/48 Hasegawa Hellcat and noticed that the upper left
wing appears to have a molding flaw. The wing part has a wide, shallow
indentation. Is this a mold defect on all Hellcat kits or did I get a
defective part?

Just toook a look at the one in my stash - it looks perfect.  Sounds
like you have a bad part.

Ironically, I just finished this kit two days ago. I did not have any
molding issues with the left wing. Sorry.
