Apologies if this has been asked before.

I've just begun to use Alclad and so far have found it excellent, but
I've read that it can be a delicate finish. If so, can I ask what you
all use in order to "seal" it? Is it just the usual Future/Klear,
acrylic laquor, matt varnish etc, or is there something else which I
need to use.

Thanks in anticipation

The Alclad finish is the toughest available...you're able to mask over it in
minutes, and I have never used a top coat or sealer when using this product.

I use a sealer but only because of the decals. Alclad is tough enough to
withstand masking with duct tape!

What sealer? Depends on the effect I want. My current favorite is Future,
sometimes with a bit of Tamiya flat base added.

I've used Alclad since it was introduced and have not noticed that
it was especially "delicate".  I've never coated over it with anything
and it has stood up pretty well. Of course it's mostly been on  resin or
plastic wheels on 24th and 20th scale car kits and they don't take much
abuse, so that
could factor into the situation also.

Thanks for your help. Based on what I've heard, I'll leave it as it is.
