I was wondering if someone could give me
advice on finding or creating a reasonable match for the gold paint on the
corgi James Bond Aston Martin DB5. I picked up one in rather bad shape and
would like to try my hand at restoring it for my son.
Many thanks for any help.
Regards
Peter

did you try an auto paint place? they might be able to match from a touch up
can.

I think in this case I would go for a pressure pack Automotive spray pack,
You should be able to get something very close to the colour you want.  Use
a primer first then give it about 5 or 6 very light  coats. Wait till paint
is well cured 3 or 4 days depending on the weather and use a soft cloth and
polish with a cutting compound. Take care as you can easily rub off the high
spots and show the primer, I have used Toothpaste for this with success.
Finish should look like glass without any orange peal effect.   Regards
