All, I'm new here, and although I find plenty threads of interest from all the builders here, I'm more of a car guy. Been building since the 60s, and am just getting back into it. No offense to anyone, but is there a news group specifically for cars? Any leads? I did the same thing myself about 2 years ago after a layoff from the mid 60's. Yahoo has a special interest group for model car builders. I've found it difficult / confusing to follow but you might want to give it a shot. Many aircraft, armor and ship techniques work with cars also especially with the basics. I'm sure that there will be helpful hints as you check out the group. There are newsgroups especially for car modelers , but I am not at home at the present and can't give you any I've "bookmarked" as I build a lot of cars also, mostly LeMans, sports racing and rally cars in addition to aircraft. One of the things that used to help is that everyone would start the message title of a new thread with a prefix (aircraft: cars: armor: etc.) that made looking at titles easier for those whose modeling interest was a single genre.
