The instructions are dated 2001, but this thing must be from the early
1970's. I like that old style Tamiya painting box art. The
instructions still call for painting the
"Commander Dummy"
And any ideas why the sprue as two identical commanders in the same
pose, pointing forward ???
The thing only has around 40 pieces, not including the track. should
have it built in a few hours.
thx - Craig

Its the same model from the 70s. No changes except later reissues
don't have the motorization. I improved mine by adding
1. the antenna pot and antenna on the right hand front of the hull.
2. the horn using a 1/35 Opel Blitz headlight for the horn bulb and
scratch builting the horn bell.
I happen to have parts salvaged form an old T 34 kit to add
3. spare track links on the fenders
4. spare wheel on the rear hull.
5. rework the tow cable using wire cable. I don't think the kit had
tow cables. I got my cable eyes from my spares box.
I did the same for the Tamiya 1/25 SU-100. Both look great.
One (ebay built) kit that I reworked didn't have a commander. Else I
would have cut the figure and repose him. If you don't need your
extra commander I'll be glad to take trade him for a spare wheel and
some track links. My email is klmok@shaw.ca

I had the 1/25 Jagdpanther, and its suspension was flexible plastic
torsion bar IIRC, which worked very well.
