Hi

I`m building an old 1/48  Lindberg Grumman TBF Avenger. The instructions
suggest upper surfaces Insignia blue fs 35044 this cross references to
humbrol 189, which appears to be discontiued, can anybody suggest an
alternative colour in humbrol or revell paints. It does`nt
have to be spot on.
thanks in advance

The instructions are wrong. For  TBF you want FS 35042, which is
available in most paint lines (Modelmaster, Humbrol, Xtracolor. etc).

Testors calls FS35042 'Flat Sea Blue' (enamel) and is available in their
Model Master FS Colors line #B1718
