I thought I was safe on the NFL channel, but Wacko-Jacko showed up there
too.
You'd think the guy cured cancer... or knew how to scribe panel lines.

...you guys haven't figured out that watching TV isn't safe anymore and
likely never will be again yet?

I bet Eric Clapton knows how to scribe panel lines...I hear he's an avid
model car builder.  If I could sit down and talk to Clapton, that's what
I'd most like to chat with him about.

Rod Stewart builds model railways.

Uh-oh, guess I won't schedule any Stewart taping any time soon. ;)

...this clip could actually be on topic, seeing as how Mr. May gets
round to talking about him making his Red Special out of scrap:

I had the misfortune to suffer the non-stop live coverage on BBC News
channel in the early hours of the morning. One interesting bit was the
helicopter used to ferry the singer's corpse. It looked like a Sea King to
me? It had the most fascinating color scheme which included candy-striped
rotor blades. The news commentator attributed the helicopter to the L.A.
Coroner's Office but I'm unable to find a reference to that or picture which
matches it anywhere online.

I think it was Sheriff's dept. I know they have helos, not sure about
LAPD. Could ask a friend who's Sheriff's dept to check for me, see if
there's a web page.

From what I saw, it looked to be L.A. County Sheriffs dept helo. They
park one at Long Beach airport. They use them on SAR missions & such.
Never seen one used as a coroner vehicle. Ah, money.

Yes that's the one:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/LACS_N950DF_Sea_King.jpg

It looked a bit like the President's helicopter at night. I was thinking
what a great modelling subject it would make especially for someone who
already has a collection of Sea Kings.

Disgusting ain't it?  The other night NBC Nightly News spent all of
three minutes on the news.  The rest of the time was devoted to that twinky.
It's not like there isn't a plethora of problems we should be kept aware
of.  We still have two wars going on, Iran's in crisis, North Korea is,
well, nuts; Sanford was busy being derelict in his duties and there's
important stuff going on in Congress.
It was just yesterday that I read about the crisis in Honduras and today
the TV managed to carry the story.
Craaap! WOGL just ruined Sunday Night Oldies with a Wacko recording.
Will someone hurry up and bury that corpse!

Re-reading my books is helpful for dealing with the 4-yr. old grandson.
They give me fresh insights into the immature male mind.
Yeah, I know, self-reflection might get me there too.

...now, that's another story. The important thing here is that we get
to the part where you ask me how I'm gonna get down to the shore.

Oh, how you gettin' down to the shore?

Funny you should ask, I've got a car now...

Ah wow, how'd ya get a car?

Oh, my folks drove it up here from the Bahamas.

You're kidding!

I must be, the Bahamas are islands. Okay, the important thing here is
that, uh, you ask me what kinda car it is.

Uh uh, what kinda car do ya' got?

I've got a bitchin' Camaro...
