Never heard of treacle in it, although I have heard that sometimes people
put pineapple or apple in.  It's mostly shredded cabbage, mild onion and
carrots mixed with mayonnaise and a bit of black pepper.

that sounds great. send us a pint or two, ok?
treacle is supposed to be a thin sweet sugar syrup or can mean light
meaningless art forms, like windom swill fluff or any bubblegum band can sound
treacly....sweet and weak.

recalled due to lead...lol

I'm about to start on one of those new Testors snap (?) Corsairs and
P-51 boxings, for sh.ts and giggles. (It was a dad's day present).

Tamiya 1/72 Mosquito NF.II in overall Special Night.  I'm trying out a few
things to see if I can get the shabby appearance of this scheme.

...I'm waiting for the 1/24 one...

...but I'm considering getting into my 1/32 Beaufighter while I'm
waiting.  Or better still, back into the stuff stalled on my bench at
the present time.

Yeah the bench. If I don't finish a couple I'll have no room and I refuse to
put anything away now.

Just started an Otaki Corsair. Not the most accurate around but it
looks near enough for me. Had to order a set of Ventura decals for
Pacific RNZAF a/c as the originals are cracked with age.

Where did you get the decals from?

From the manufacturer here in New Zealand.

http://www.venturapublications.com/store/

I have used their decals before for an RNZAF Harvard and they were
superb and exquisitely detailed. Unlike the current crop of Tamiya
decals that fall apart under a hard stare and don't stick, they
conform and stick well and are reasonably strong.
As well as RNZAF, they do some USAF, RAF, RAAF and Israeli AF in 32,
48 and 72 scale. Shipping anywhere in the world is by economy post.

And  did you know Falcon canopies are also made in NZ and sold by
Squadron as 'Crystal Klear'?

I'm looking for Monogram's 1/48 F-100 Super Saber kit.
Anyone out there want to sell theirs?
Have a prospective customer.
Can't wait for Trumpeters.

: anybody working on anything?

I am likely to trash my Tamiya/Academy LVTP-7 (already
had the Tamiya lower hull/wheels in progress) and just go
   with the HobbyBoss LVTP-7.

Will keep the ROK decals from the Academy kit, however.

Part that pushed me over the edge was working with the
Eduard PE set for the LVTP-7. Dipping the clear acetate for
the turret vision blocks was a disaster - tried to dip the
acetate in "Pledge with Future Shine" and the acetate dried
with ripples from the "Pledge with Future Shine". Has this
   been a problem others encountered?

On the plus side, my new butane torch is loads of fun.
Very satisfying for the pyro in everyone! And, it does a
bang up job of annealing the Eduard PE. :-)

Yep, I'm restoring an old Revell 727-100 and building the accompanying
Airfix 727-200.  There are several other projects getting tickled at the
same time.  Like I said elsewhere, if I'm messy it's my mess.
