In honor of this being the 40th anniversary of the moon landing (or
filming in the Nevada desert - whatever! 8-P) I broke down on ePay and
bought a Bird Models Dornberger Orbital spacecraft (a precursor to his
Project BOMI while he lived here in western New York). The kit looks
beautiful with nice molding and detail.
That's the good news.

The bad news is that they're shipping it via DHL!

But isn't it nice that you ordered a 100 piece jigsaw puzzle and they
will convert it to 1000 pieces at no extra charge, only a several
month wait?

...This is embarassing. I'm drawing a blank on this particuler
Dornberger project, and Google's turning up nothing on the kit. Got a
link to that eBay page?

Look at the auctions of "sturmvogel11" (that's Rudolf Vogel of
Hohenschäftlarn) and the auction is transaction #250418675285. I've
done several of his models; they're a bit rough but can be made into
some really nice models.
It's just dealing the DHL - Uggghhh!
