Hi there!

I've just recently returned to modelling after almost cutting my finger off
three times in my careless younger days. As i'm now getting deeply into the
hobby i've come across some hurdles.

I use an airbrush with Tamiya acrylics to paint my larger models but when i
paint figures, Tamiya acrylics seem absolutely uselss as the second coat
removes the first one. I prime my models including figures but Tamiya just
doesn't want to attach itself to German troops. I bought some Humbrol and
Tamiya enamels over the weekend and will give them a go hoping for better
results.

The issue is I'm a Brit currently working in Moscow (Russia) and a wide range
of materials are hard to come by. I used the Russian Zvezda acrylics but
they're thick and gloopy even after being thinned.

So, can anyone kindly recommend a brand of acrylics that are suitable for
brush painting or advise me if maybe i'm doing something wrong.

Thanks a million

Paul
