Saw that a couple of days ago.  I had to laugh at this bit:

"The last thing I have to mention is that Mr. Ho is not afraid to go head to
head against any other kit manufacturer. He feels his product can match or
exceed any other product out there."

Not while every kit has unnecessary outline errors, it can't.

Or the kits are so over-engineered that all the fun is removed. But
that's just my opinion.

check out eastern express and icm.
"gee, this spitfire engine only has two halves."
"well dorskton,  get the designer boys to make it better! i
want at least 23 parts for that basic engine block, i want each exhaust
to have it's own pipe, flange, mounting bolts, mgaskets and unreadable
directions. why use 2 or 3 simple parts when you can use 50 or 6?. think all
of the detail! and make usre they are impossible to see in the finished
model."
"golly bosschek, no wonder we are smartly!"
"yes, dorkstink. those amerikanski's will buy anything if you have good box

You've got to be kidding.

I had to stop my 1/48 Ju 52 after I got the CMK resin
cockpit fitted. Dawned on me a space to display it was
just not there. I will finish it someday.

One reason I've gone to AFV's recently. At least they
are compact and easy to stash somewhere...

I'm all for the 1/32 MiG 23 tho. I'll probably start
my 1/32 Hellcat, if only because I can make it wings
folded.

sort of kidding. if there was one, i would try to buy it. but unless i got a
much larger place, just storing the box would be tough.
i want to thank you publically for your incredible kindness, sending those two
kits of planes i really like basically saved a shitty year from ending

i actually do that. for years i have given away well over a few hundred
complete pc's. i give them to those less fortunate or physically or mentally
challenged. i've done endless repairs and upgrades for nothing more than me
being grateful i could do it. sadly, too often i don't even get a thank you.
and that's all i want.
i'm lucky in that pc stuff seems to grow in my spare room. there are always
tons of parts and entire systems that just walk in the door. i've built and
fixed so many systems that i now can easily find the problems and fix 95% of
the machines i see in a few minutes. i ma grateful for this ability.
i ain't no saint. but i do have chances to help, sometimes with pc's, and
sometimes with food or clothes. i'm not wonderful, great or arrogant enough to
think i'm the best thing on wheels. i am hopeful i make some people's way a
little easier. but i will do more with your inspiration.
best of new years!

I did. On Dec 24th, I went down to the local supermarket to smash  my
many beer bottles in the bottle return machine.
I started to redeem the bottles when I saw the guy next to me was
smashing some bottles. He was a ragged sort and his bottles were dirty
like they had been scavenged from the roadside.
I had just crushed a few and stopped. I gave him the remaining of the
two cases of bottles I had, and the receipt for the few I had crushed. I
started to walk away and he stopped me, shook my hand, and said Thank
You and Merry Christmas. It was very cold outside but somehow, a warm
glow came over me as I walked back to my car.

good man! we need to make this world suck a bit less.
i have seen where the homeless go on cold nights here
and it is grim. i have denuded my closet of warm clothing
to leave there. it seems so little but they always say thank
you and scoop it up.

Fold the wings and they might hide that *hideous* upper fuselage decking.

It is far too wide.  Check out this thread.
http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=39321&hl=hellcat

Okay...  the thread refers to the 1/48 kit, but it appears to be scaled down
from the Trumpy 1/32 kit.

Note that despite the problems, I will almost certainly get the Hobby Boss
1/48 kit.  I want the decals for use on an Eduard kit. I'll see if I can
graft a spare Eduard fuselage (the Eduard Dual Combo has three fuselages!)
onto the HB kit and I'll probably build it as a whif in USN yellow wings
markings.

IMHO, the Flogger was the best looking Russian jet plane.
I liked that vertical fin on the bottom under the rudder that made it
look somewhat like a dart

yeah, very cool. i still love the mig 15 because of it's really retro look.
it looks russian, has strength, brute muscle looks and the agility of a
ballerina. it's almost too cool for a soviet era bird.
the f86 just looks like a mustang with an od of steroids, the bad kind.
ok, i''l duck now......
