Hey all!

Does anyone know of a resin or injected turret
and top for the Airfix Waterbuffalo kit?  I'd like
to do a different version for the Saipan/Guam
landings and can't seem to find it.  There's a
resin kit of the LVT with a 105mm towed artillery
piece on top, but that's not what I'm looking for.

Any assistance is mightily appreciated!

As no one else has picked this up . . .
From memory the turret was the same as used on the M3 'Honey' tank, a model
of which is available from J.B.Models, now I think marketed as part of the
Airfix range (old stock may be marked J. B. Models).
The rest would be down to research and plasticard, but the turret is the
hard bit.

Regards

What you are looking for is either an LVT(A)-1 or an LVT(A)-4. The
former has a modified M5A1 light tank turret (NOT an M3) without the
radio bustle; the other one has the complete turret with some
modificaitons from an M8 75mm HMC (M5A1 chassis with an open turret on
it).

Some of the British companies do them - Cromwell I think - but
converting one from an ancient Airfix 1/76 scale kit would be a
chore.
