I posted a Luftwaffe paint guide on the binaries group. It's not mine, I came across it
while surfing. I really can't vouch for the accuracy of the info so use it for what it's
worth. That aside I thought it was pretty cool and might be helpful enough.

You don't happen to remember where on the net you found it, by any
chance? If not, would it be possible to talk you into sending me the
paint guide by e-mail? (I don't have access to binary newsgroups.)

There are a few places that'll let you preview and download (small)
binaries - I use it if I hear of something interesting in
alt.binaries.pictures.aviation.  Try http://eng.globalnews.it, search on
alt.binaries.models.scale. I think the previews miss some shots, but it's
worth a shot.

(Took me a long time to find that - everything else seems to be more
interested in being a porn or warez gateway.)

Thanks, but the eight available previews were all taken up by warnings
against some kind of virus posted to the group.

Hm, I just found ABMS on a website called Internet Replayer. Looks
like the pics may pop up there in a short time.

Sorry. Dunno why I wrote Internet Replayer. It should of course be
Usenet Replayer.  :-P

Go to ...

http://www.usenet-replayer.com/

... and click on "News resources archive". Then, if you wish, you can
type in "alt.binaries.models.scale" to see some pics from ABMS. (Got
there directly via Google.)

I've been a bit busy, so I haven't had a chance to test drive the site
properly. There may be a slightly better way to view the newsgroups
hidden somewhere on the site.

The RLM Color charts (as well as RAF, Italian, Japanese and Finnish) can
be found at:

http://www.clubhyper.com/reference/digitalcolourchartswm_1.htm

The guide are in PDF format but the charts can be copied and transferred
to whatever format (JPG, etc) you desire in any basic graphics program.

Sweet! Thanks!  :-)

This will sure come in handy with that AMtech 1/72 Ju-88S-3/T-3 I've
got lined up after the Tamiya P-47D Bubbletop.

I found the one RLM chart I posted somewhere other than Hyper Scale. I'm
glad someone sniffed out the original source over the weekend so credit
can be properly given to Hyper Scale and traffic steered in their
direction.

And I'm quite pleased to pick up those additional charts. ;-)

Considering the vagaries of paints and appearances I'm happy to have
found those.  If not correct, they at least give one an idea.  Thanks!
