I posted a new article on www.cybermodeler.com dealing with those
frustrating Hasegawa (and others) mold lines on the canopy as well as
scratching due to poor packaging. We look at Micro-Mesh and remove some
scratches and a mold line on the Hasegawa 1/32 F-16 canopy. Check it out!

There's an even easier way - scrape the seam down carefully with a razor
blade, and then use a piece of used (and it needs to be used, not right
out of the box) Bounce fabric softener sheet to hand polish it.  Then
final polish off any waxy residue with a piece of clean flannel.  Works
great.

You know, I've never tried that.  I like the way the Future treatment
looks, but I've always assumed that Future may not stick to any residue
left behind by the Bounce.  It's the combination of the waxiness of the
the fabric softener and the roughness of the sheet that makes the
technique work.

I'll have to try it on a scrap canopy and see.

Same here, it really is just plain easy to sand and polish them out.

Also helps that Micro Mark sells sandpaper, and polishing
pads up to 25,000 grit too :)

I've used fresh Bounce for removing cat hair from rugs.  After that
they're no good for anything.

I suspect most of the Ju 88s are from Revell with at least one
Airfix and Frog.
Right now what I'm mostly looking for is a certain discontinued
Testors paint.

Model Master Manganese Brown Metallic spray.  I'm not sure just when it
was discontinued but I have a couple of cars that I planned to use it on
and one that was started.  I'm not really into 'hot' colours on cars and
that seems where Testors is headed.

As a dog owner who suffered through dating cat people,I can say for certain
that the sheet of Bounce is not only more valuable, but is much easier to live
with :-)

I've lived with both cats and dogs and cats have more personality.  Dogs
try too hard to please you.  Cats don't give a d__n.
As for Bounce, it is more useful than my ex-... ;Þ

I've had both dogs and cats...........you can keep dogs, they stink,
drool, slobber, fart horribly and anything that isn't smart enough not
to eat its own turds is frankly too stupid to live in my house.

Dogs require more attention than cats, which makes them less suitable as
indoor pets from my prespective, .but frankly, I'm still convinced that
lower forms of life should only come into the house for the purpose of
being cooked and eaten. OTOH, I'm willing to make an exception for a
well-behaved cat (such things do exist, relatively speaking). Our own
cat exited this mortal coil earlier in the year, and he was one of
those. We'll give it another try come September; I think maybe I will
introduce the new cat to the spice cabinet and the large stew pot first
thing, just in case he's really smart.

Again I point to the turd eating........too stupid for
me.............now our two cats are both very well mannered and make
delightful indoor pets. We had a third but at 18.5 years he went to
sleep one day and that was it, sweet old critter who's worst habit was
coming in from the rain soaking wet and wanting pets. The remaining two
are 8 and their worst habits are the odd hairball yakked up now and
then, as long as I don't find one barefoot at O'dark thirty everything's
cool.

i had a 5 lb calico as a friend for 22 years. she was smart
and understood the universe. she would play fight and never
scratch, could read my mind and slept on my side purring all
night. she never jumped up on stuff or people, did not hock
up hairballs or ever make a mess.
to this day when i am half asleep i feel her jump on the
bed.

When my kids were little they had a small white, long haired mutt that used to
love to roll in fresh cow patties. Dog eventually turned greenish white, sort
of RAF Sky.

Current Scottie has been taught (if you can teach a Scottie anything) not to
frolick in patties.

long ago, an old farmer told me of a discovery he made.
apparently he suffered from bad atheletes foot. came from
shoes that didn't breath and being wet a lot.
he said he was doing something barefoot and burned the soles
of his feet. the only "liquid" was a fresh cowpie. he said
he stood in it until the pain was bearable, 15-20 minutes.
said the atheletes foor disappeared and never came back.
he claims others tried it with the same result.

A friend of mine from Tampa cured his by having his dog lick his feet.

being a tad cynical, i had such thoughts.
it is, however, effective as advertised.
i had a housemate that was in danger of expulsion becuase
his feet stunk up a 7 room apt. we had hin voted out, sadly,
when i told him the farmers tale.
skipping to the end, he tried it 3 times over 3 days. his
feet became dry, scentless marvels.
it is essential that one starts wearing shoes that breath.
no plastic. chuck taylors work. also change socks daily.
