Niesky is practically on the Polish border, while Cottbus (I'm guessing
that's what you meant) is a bit further from it. It might interest you to
know that most, if not all, German towns have their own website. The link
below points to the transport part of Cottbus's
http://www.cottbus.de/tourismus/verkehr/index.html
At the bottom of the page, you'll find links to two nearby local airports,
and a shortlist of nearby international airports.
I took a peek at Dresden's site, and checked their airport; this ssems to
confirm that there are no direct flights there from the UK. However,
according to the cottbus site, Berlin-Schoenefeld is even closer than
Dresden, and the site of that airport shows flights to London STN and
London LTN; presumably flights go in both directions.

Hope this helps

Thanks. I nissed her that much i couldnt wait until Sept. so i asked her a
few days ago if i could go in July for her BD and she said yes that would be
great, so i decided one i knew she wanted to see me(she knows i dont have a
passport at present) i would say i cant get one intime for her BD (i can
just) and make my own way there, i know she wont be back home until that
weekend to see her family so i make my way to Cottbus, yes thats correct.
the info is very helpful!! thanks for your time and trouble.

Best of luck, Jules- I guess she digs your multi-legged creepies, referring
of course to your pets, not any personal problems ;-)

I am glad you are sooo happy !!
That said, this all is going kinda fast, my best (divorced already) advice
is to take it a little slower.
If you really feel that way about her, and she you, than the extra time will
NOT hurt at all.
Believe it or not, you really haven't spent that much time together, and
this is the second most major step you will ever take in your life.
(Kid's come first, though they SHOULD be after you are married)
My fiancée passed away last fall (brain aneurysm), and tho I am still
in a deep blue funk about it, (i.e. depressed) it has given me a wisdom
and appreciation I never had before about life.............................
(we were together for 3 3/4 years)
Trust me, if it's like you say, than time is on your side, and it wont hurt.
You need to start figuring where your going to live, what you are going to
do, and how you both can accomplish this as a TEAM.
I wish you the BEST OF LUCK no matter what decision you make !!!!

I think you meant Kottbus and it is on the eastern edge of Germany. I
can't find Niesky on any of my printed maps. I think Berlin would be
about as close as Dresden but it's more likely you can find a flight
there. Kottbus looks to be around 60 miles SSE of Berlin.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that she says yes!

I think its Cottbus, well i hope so, shes sending me another foto for my

She did tell me transport is pretty steep in Germany but if i get a early
morning flight i can hitch hike, shouldnt be too hard as long as i know
where im going!
I called her mom again earlier but she was in Sweden so i had to speak to
her dad who speaks little English, her mom is fluent in it.
fingers crossed!!
