Anyone else have this problem? Is my only solution shimming the coupler
pockets, or is there another solution? N scale, rapido couplers. These
are the nicest Union Pacific cabooses I have found, so I hope they can
be made to work. BTW, I also have several Roundhouse cars that will not
couple because the truck-mounted couplers are too low. Switching to
Atlas trucks solved that problem. harrym

I found that the springs in Con-Cor cabooses are stronger than the ones
found in other cars. Changing to a weaker spring might help.
With Roundhouse Products Rapido couplers, check for "flash" on the
coupler. Someimes shaving the coupler with a razor blade or X-Acto knife
a tad helps with these.

I found that the ConCor springs were off the coupler ends and riding against
the top of the pocket. I reset them and they are working so far. Hope they
stay put. Didn't find any flash on the Roundhouse couplers, but switching
to Atlas trucks cured the problem. The Roundhouse truck-mounted couplers
are too low to mate with other cars; however, I did switch the metal
Roundhouse wheels for the plastic ones in the Atlas couplers. Thanks for
the suggestions. harrym
