Nut case Darius McCollum in his obsessision with trains and transportation
is at it again. This time he was arrested on numerous counts but apparently
was making an attempt to make off with an F7 locomotive to go joy riding.
This guy needs a train set. Bruce

You beat me to it!  I just read the story and was going to post a
message about it.  For those interested, here's a link to the NY Times
story: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/15/nyregion/15subway.html?th

The LIRR locomotive is described as an M-7, BTW.

Your right Bill it was an M7 he managed to get the keys for. An F7 might be
more fun to commandeer for a joy ride though.:) This guy just won't quit. I
think its been about 15 or 20 years since I first heard about earlier stunts
he pulled. Apparently he has been at it regularly all this time at least
when not in jail for a prior felonious train and bus escapade. I guess I
missed all the stories of his mischief in between as the story in the times
indicates he has been driving the transit authorities nuts forever. Bruce
